Architectural Sheet Metal Foreman

Position Overview: This position will be in charge of the day to day crew operations and the overall quality of work as well as job site safety.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assume responsibility for crew trucks, trailers, tools, & job site at all times.
- Review shop drawings and site plans with CM and complete pre-job walk through with CM and/or Salesman
- Track and review crew members time sheets weekly resolving any issues in and ensuring prompt submission by appropriate deadline
- Help to ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA at all times
- Maintain professional and consistent communication with customers, supervisors and co-workers
- Pre-plan for following days work, including weather expectations
- Coordinate with CM and/or Warehouse Staff and manage trailer, inventory and re-stock weekly
- Ensure all tools are properly and securely stored to prevent theft or damage; reporting missing, damaged, or unsafe tools to CM immediately
- Ensure proper load tie-down method and obtaining CM approval prior to transport
- Notify CM of any unauthorized or non-detailed work on shop drawings or any other work not specifically instructed to perform by CM prior to performance. Do not perform any out of scope work prior to Approval of Written Change Orders.
- OSHA training (JR & Co. will provide if necessary) and continual training as necessary
Skills:
- Experience in blueprint and site plan reading, field and shop fabrication and installation of commercial architectural sheet metal work.
- Experienced in field performing layout, measure, fabrication and installation of sheet metal flashing and trim.
- Installation of Preformed Metal Siding, Preformed Aluminum/Metal Composite Material (ACM/MCM) Wall Systems, Standing Seam Metal Roof Panels, Commercial Gutter and Downspouts, Conductor Heads Through Wall Scuppers and Overflow Scuppers and Trim, Sheet Metal Louvers, ANSI/SPRI/FM 4435/ES-1 Sheet Metal Parapet Coping Cap, Break Metal Expansion Joints, Cupolas, counterflashing, ornamental metalwork, decorative metal, & retrofit sheet metal work.
- Welding experience in: MIG, TIG, ARC and Soldering
- Proficient math skills for calculating building areas, lengths and height accurately using a 25’ tape measure
- Motivated & hardworking with great communication, time management and leadership skills

Iowa Branch Manager

Position Overview: This position is in charge of managing the Iowa Branch Office.
Essential Job Functions:

- Help set-up, maintain and clean-up project sites as well as warehouse to ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA at all times
- Willing to learn the JR & Co. way of installing, maintaining and repairing roofs on both commercial and residential structures.
