When it comes to sorting through all the Roofing Contractors here in the Kansas City area, you have lots of options. A quick Google search brought back over 600,000 results and yellowpages.com had 369 companies listed! So that leaves you with a few important questions. Where do I start? Who can I trust to get the job done right and give me a good value for my money?

Notice that I said good value and not cheapest price. Roofing is like just like many other things in life: you get what you pay for. Now that is not to say that you need to pay some sort of outrageous price to get a quality finished product. Just keep in mind that if you have one bid that is drastically lower that the others, you might want to do your homework and check up on them.

Many times they will have a bad record with the Better Business Bureau or they are simply using laborers that are not as skilled. Highly skilled roofers cost more to keep on staff and therefore the company has to charge a bit more for their services.

Where Can I Find a Good Kansas City Roofing Contractors?

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get back to those questions. Where do I start and who can I trust? A great place to start is the National Roofing Contractors Website.  On the home page there is a spot to select the type of roofing project that you have and a place for your zip code. The results that come back will be registered members of the NRCA and it will tell you how far away they are and the city in which they are located.

In addition to this, they also offer many resources to help you evaluate contractors and plan out your roofing project to ensure you get a fair price. In addition to the NRCA, it’s always a good idea to check out the BBB. There are plenty of companies with excellent ratings to choose from so there is no need to use a contractor with a questionable or non-existent record.
